Taste of the World Cultural Festival

CQMA proudly partners with the Rockhampton Regional Council to deliver the annual Taste of the World Cultural Festival during Multicultural Month each year.
The festival is a vibrant, family-friendly celebration that welcomes CALD communities and the broader Rockhampton public to come together in a spirit of inclusion, connection and cultural pride.
What to Expect
From delicious global flavours to vibrant performances and interactive experiences, the festival showcases the many cultures that make Rockhampton such a diverse and welcoming community.
Taste of the World offers something for everyone, including:

- Live music and entertainment

- Opportunities to connect with local community groups
A Celebration for the Whole Community
Taste of the World is more than a food festival — it is an opportunity to learn, connect and celebrate the cultures that shape our region. Whether you are sharing your heritage, discovering something new, or simply enjoying an afternoon with family and friends, everyone is welcome.
Food Stall Holder Application Form

CQMA Provides...
- A 3×3 Marquee
- A Bain Marie or equivalent with stand/table
- 2 Tables and 2 chairs
- 10/20 litre water container
- Waste Bucket/bowl
- Grey water, Oil and Fat disposal
- Food Preparation and Handling workshop
- Free Test & Tag of all electrical and gas appliances
- A common cold room to keep the semi-prepared food
- Access to a commercial kitchen (Robert Schwarten Pavilion) on 21st and 22nd August.
- Transfer of refrigerated items from commercial kitchen to festival site.
- A ‘bump in’ time to deliver equipment, food, etc on 22nd August.
- Indemnity and Volunteer insurance coverage where applicable.
Stall holders requirements...
- Meet with the CQMA Food Stall organiser to review and discuss stall requirements.
- Attend the Food Preparation and Handling workshop (9th August 2025).
- Provide a list of appliances to be used.
- Ensure all electrical appliances, lead and power boards, are tested and tagged by Stanke Electrics at 7 Cambridge St, Rockhampton. Drop off from 28th July to 1st August. Please contact Errol on 07 4927 7300.
- Ensure all gas appliances are tagged and tested. Drop off at CQMA from 5th to 9th August. Date to be confirmed.
- Provide an agreed menu of 3-4 items to allow signage to be produced.
- Provide a signed list of Volunteers working at the stall for insurance purposes.
- Pay $100 stall fee to CQMA Commonwealth Bank, BSB 064 710 Account 10677964
- Comply with all directions given by the CQMA Food Stall organiser Theresa Stanke.
